Went "ninja" on the shrubs....accidentally

I found a new toy in the garage today. I went looking for the saw to cut a low branch I kept tripping over but I found "it" instead. I discovered "it's'" name later; two handed pruning shears.
I quickly snipped the annoying branch with ease. I notice another branch just not in sync with the rest of the bush. Snip snip. Then I notice yet another and another. Snip snip snip. It was easy and I was having fun. I may have gotten carried away because I notice all of a sudden my pile of the debris had gotten quite large. I stood and took a few steps back. Oops. Half the bush was gone. Not the top half. The right half.  Well of course I had come to the point of no return.
Snip Snip Snip Snip Snip Snip Snip Snip Snip Snip.
Shrub assassinated.

the word of the day and for life

Diligence - constant and earnest effort to  accomplish what is undertaken.; persistent exertion of body or mind.

I have been working on a huge project for well over a year now. I am coming on the finish of the first stage. I gave myself till the end of June to be done. I am so close. Throughout the entire I day I work on it. Do laundry, project, clean kitchen, project, make beds, project, fold laundry, project, vacuum, project, cook dinner, project, go to dojo, project. Lay in bed at the end of night and think about project. I am being as diligent as a ninja to complete my project, mission, quest.

My first thought this morning I was thinking the second stage I will need to be even more diligent.
My second thought was aaaahhhh F#%&., hard work can be such a pain in the butt.

But it is all good.
I got a plan.
I got non quitting spirit
I got people who believe in me.
( which gives me strength to go on on days when I don't always believe in myself )

Be diligent!

cats roll

I saw a commercial for a new smart phone in the beginning of the previews of a movie. It stated you could see even more cats on the internet. I found this to be a great commercial. But not too great because I don't know which smart phone. But I digress, Cats are entertaining. The looks they give us of superiority to loathing but at times can turn on the cuteness and be total pet me whores. I am entertained as they chase the invisible prey around the house unless it is 3:30 in the morning and across my bed. Their pursuit of the moth that unfortunately strayed into the house is fun, well not for the moth. The relentless hunt for the mouse under the stove shows their diligence or stupidity, the jury is still out. I find it extremely entertaining to watch as one cat goes up to the other and starts cleaning the other only to attack minutes later. I love kitty grappling. The way they roll and use each others momentum is genius. I once had an martial arts instructor say "have you ever seen two kittens wrestle, they roll. relax.  Roll like kittens." So when I grapple I try and roll like a kitten. Not that easy since I am human and in my forties. But I do try. Meow.
Still waiting for the mouse. Day 245.
Be diligent

Newly discovered toys

So I was given these new toys as a gift.
Squatz.
The toy come in cased in some chalk like substance. You take it an place it in warm water.
Lots of fizzing and you find out what your mystery toy is inside.
They have a ninja series, pirate series, and a DC Comics series. I also saw a robot series and a alien series.
There may be more.
They ranged in cost online from $3.33 to $9.99. So shop wisely.
The ones I got were on clearance at a store for $1.99
I really like the toy and will be searching for more.

pretending to be a movie critic today

Bridesmaids
Hmmmm....how can I put this.....Oh I know....It sucked.
It did have funny moments here and there but for the most it sucked.
It was more sad than funny. It was depressing and oh so predictable.
They dragged out a joke way too long. killing it in the process.
The guy who played the cop was the best part. Chris O'Dowd.
You liked his character and he's a good actor.
Not saying don't go see it but definitely save some money and wait to watch in your own home.

Wednesday purchase suggestion

I love this book. I find it very entertaining. I like to pull it out of my bag when I am in waiting rooms for doctors and dentists.
Number one Ninja Burger Guideline
1. If customer have complaints, DO NOT kill them. This is very important. A dead customer is not a paying customer.

A preventative Ninja

Today I went to get a mammogram like a good ninja wanna be. Damn straight ninjas get mammograms. It makes perfect sense.  A ninja would always monitor her territory (the body) to keep and close watch for the enemy (cancer) trying to infiltrate it. If the enemy did invade the ninja's domain it would be quickly discovered. The ninja destroying the enemy before it gets a strong hold.
So the tech shows me to the changing room. You take off your top and your bra and put on a gown. You place your stuff in a bag and go sit in a waiting room.   What I found amusing was the changing rooms. Each changing room had a large window with vertical blinds. You know the kind of blinds you bump and they swing back and forth for all the world to see. What was the point of the window? It isn't like some some is going to get change take a seat on the little bench and take in the view. Relax for a bit. It was not relaxing. Tiny room and I am trying not to bump the blinds. Which I did.
I think a man designed the changing rooms or should I say changing cubbies.

Be preventative.

Non quitting spirit

Life has been crazy. I won't bore you with the drama of my silly little life. I am sure compared to some it is just minor annoyances. To others it may be traumatic. Either or, it is life. Ever changing, somewhat more challenging at times. Life being compared to a roller coaster is such a good analogy. Ups and downs. Twists and turns. Sudden drops and changes in directions. Just when you think the ride is settling down you are dropped a hundred feet and flung upside down into a loop to loop. But on my roller coaster of life I have the emergency break in my car. So I can slam the car to halt, get out of the car and climb down off the structure. Walk to the nearest field and smell the roses. Because as life speeds on by sometimes the beauty of it all gets blurred. So if your roller coaster car does not have a built in emergency break, my advice to you is install one. Stop, take a look around and see the beauty. My next advice to you is never give up, never think you can't. Alway keep trying. Even if you got knocked down on your butt. Get up, dust off and try again.

Be strong
